Gandia Blasco Group opens new flagship store in Madrid

The new collections of GANDIABLASCO, GAN and Diabla launch their new 300m2 space on the city’s Golden Mile
The new space , which occupies the corner of 28 Ortega y Gasset Street and is more than 300 square metres in size, is designed to serve interior design, architecture professionals and private individuals, offering solutions with a high level of quality and personalisation.
Destined to become the firm’s flagship store, together with the emblematic Casa Gandia Blasco (Ontinyent, Valencia), this new space takes the visitor into a creative universe of Mediterranean roots, with its own designs and relevant collaborations with world-renowned designers.
GANDIABLASCO, GAN and Diabla: three brands united by design and creative awareness
Gandia Blasco Group has been able to evolve and adapt to the times without forgetting its essence and developing three brands that are as different as they are complementary.
The store includes iconic pieces and novelties from the three brands that make up the group, GANDIABLASCO, GAN and Diabla, all with a recognisable identity in their respective areas: from furniture and outdoor spaces, to the creation and production of handmade designer rugs. The project was conceived by Gandia Blasco Group‘s design department in collaboration with MUT Design, the studio that was responsible for the layout of the GANDIABLASCO brand corner and the creation of the interior signage.
The opening consolidates the company’s presence in Spain and coincides with the commemoration of its 80th anniversary, a history marked by constant reinvention, diversification and a commitment to design at all levels. Today, Gandia Blasco Group continues to put design at the service of innovation, led by the second and third generation of the family: José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, president and creative director of the group, and his children, Alejandra, the company’s deputy creative and communication director and creative director of Diabla, and Álvaro, vice-president and commercial director. The group is currently immersed in the process of an expansion into key international markets such as North America and Asia, with a presence in more than 75 countries thanks to the distinctive personality of each of our brands and the design of residential and contract projects. All of this is the result of great teamwork in which the human touch is an essential asset and constitutes the group’s main strength.
A meeting point for design, craft and outdoor enthusiasts
The timeless beauty and functionality that characterise GANDIABLASCO‘s outdoor spaces and furniture have been reinterpreted with the creative stroke of Luca Nichetto in ONDE, Søren Rose in CAPA, Mayice Studio in BUIT and Made Studio en BOSC. These collections and the new additions unveiled in the latest catalogue, coexist in the showroom with other series and classics such as the PICNIC and CLACK!, by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, which showcase some of the new colours and fabrics from their wide range of finishes.
Texture, colour and eclectic shapes fill the new GAN space, under the creative direction of Mapi Millet, with rugs and accessories that are handcrafted havens allowing for connection and the opportunity to experience our surroundings in a comfortable way. Representative elements from series such as BANDAS, GARDEN LAYERS, NUANCES and MIRAGE, by Patricia Urquiola; PLY, by MUT Design; BACKSTITCH, by Raw Edges; o CANEVAS GEO, by Charlotte Lancelot, are displayed on the floor and walls, showing the infinite possibilities of the different materials and artisanal production techniques of GAN, as well as its commitment to sustainability and upcycling.
Diabla, the group’s youngest firm, arrives at the venue with its very own vibrant creative proposal on the environment. GRILL, by MUT Design; ARP, by Made Studio; LILLY, by Democràcia Estudio; and PLISY UP, by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, are optimistic and colourful collections enabling the enjoyment of the outdoors during all four seasons. In addition to these recent launches, Diabla presents a selection of designs from its portfolio, less suited to conventional tastes.
