Summer nights in the city
July 15, 2022 | Collections /
City terraces are essential spaces to disconnect from your daily routine and enjoy the warmth of the long summer nights. Aware of the escapist appeal of the heavenly rooftops of luxury hotels or the chill out spaces of private homes, GANDIABLASCO keeps its creative pulse on the idea of new design concepts that allow for maximum enjoyment of outdoor life, its true passion.
To do so, GANDIABLASCO strives to create contemporary atmospheres through quality furniture that provides comfort without sacrificing its subtle, elegant and Mediterranean style. It is inspired by the new indoor-outdoor trend, where the boundaries between indoors and outdoors are blurring, giving way to hybrids that stand for comfort, warmth, durability and flexibility all in the same space.

PERGOLAS, the transition from furniture to architecture to generate contemporary atmospheres
GANDIABLASCO uses the PERGOLAS collection to generate complete outdoor experiences. On this occasion, the architectural Module 1 floor 360×360, is the ideal construction system for creating a square structure that marks the edges of the urban oasis. This pergola design, offers a wide range of customisation options and is manufactured with a mechanised profile assembly system and resistant materials for outdoor use. Going into detail, Grey Blue powder-coated aluminium sections have been used, and the frames and ceilings are made from fixed horizontal slats. The mineral-coloured Wind curtains decorate each side of the module and slide easily for greater or lesser privacy, depending on requirements. Finally, the sand-coloured TAU Cerámica floor elevates the unit with its square tiles and provides a striking chromatic contrast that plays with the neutral fabrics of the armchairs from the CAPA collection.

The hygge spirit of the cosy CAPA collection
Seating defines the comfort of any outdoor space. Rest and a sense of comfort in the open air depend on them to large extent. On this urban terrace, GANDIABLASCO has chosen CAPA, the outdoor collection by Søren Rose, the Danish designer who transfers the hygge philosophy of life to outdoor spaces. A collection that transmits the values associated with the importance of the home, the feeling of warmth and the joy of small details.

To recreate an idyllic urban terrace, GANDIABLASCO has two 2-seater sofas and two lounge chairs from the CAPA collection. Each design piece consists of a structure made from tubular aluminium sections in Grey Blue, welded to a sheet of the same material but slotted by laser cutting. The contrast is in the armrests of each armchair, made from Iroko wood, also available with the ultra-compact Dekton® by Cosentino surface, which is highly resistant to chemical products and stains. On the body of each sofa are cushions with a round finish, filled with polyurethane foam and covered in special fabrics for outdoor use. In this case, the fabric used is the neutral shade Atlas Plain 14 by Jover, which matches the floor.
The CAPA coffee table is placed in the centre, surrounded by the sofas. It is a designer table made of a welded aluminium tubular structure, on which a high-quality powder coated paint is applied. It is extremely durable, ideal for outdoor use. The top of this table is made of Dekton® by Cosentino.
A halo of light with PLISY UP by Diabla
The spotlights placed in strategic locations provide a warm atmosphere that help to create a perfect outdoor space in the city. GANDIABLASCO uses the stylish PLISY UP lamp, created by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco for Diabla, as an innovative lighting design concept with an elegant look inspired by traditional pleated fabric lampshades. PLISY UP is made of rotomolded polyethylene and has a base in anthracite-coloured powder-coated and textured aluminium, materials that stand out for their lightness and durability, essential for outdoor environments.

One of the technological innovations of the PLISY UP lamp by Diabla is that it incorporates LED technology light and can be charged by USB, manteniendo una autonomía de 4 a 5 horas a intensidad máxima. In addition, it can be dimmed with the touch of your fingers thanks to its touch sensor.
The importance of detail: SAHARA planters
There is no urban oasis without greenery. For this reason, GANDIABLASCO finds in the versatile SAHARA planters which perfectly complement its furniture collections, providing that fresh, green touch necessary for an outdoor space.

Designed by Pablo Gironés for GANDIABLASCO, SAHARA is a collection of outdoor planters curved shapes inspired by the undulating dunes of the Sahara Desert. There are 5 different models in large and small sizes to create made-to-measure compositions and they are made 100% recyclable rotomolded polyethylene. Each pot works on its own in any outdoor space or they can be combined together to add a personal touch to the outdoor space to be designed. On this occasion, we have used four SAHARA 3 planters with a diameter of 80 cm and a height of 43 cm in the colours grey blue, blue grey, anthracite and quartz grey.
