We participate in one of the most exclusive gastronomic experiences in the world

 

On the past 9th June, we had the privilege of experiencing Sublimotion, an unforgettable night marked by innovation, creativity and unique flavours curated by chef Paco Roncero and businessman Eduardo Gonzáles. This year, the Gandía Blasco Group has contributed to this gastronomic and performative experience, with an outdoor space designed with collections from our GANDIABLASCO and Diabla brands.

Sublimotion took place at the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza in Playa d’en Bossa. The culinary expertise of Paco Roncero, awarded two Michelin stars and three Repsol suns, combined with cutting-edge technology, transports guests to a world where gastronomy reaches new sensory heights. This immersive experience, enhanced by both virtual and real elements, sets a spectacular stage for dining.

This year, the Gandía Blasco Group was invited to design the hotel’s terrace, enhancing the experience with our ISLA sofas designed by Sebastian Herkner for GANDIABLASCO, the VALENTINA UP lounge chairs, designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco Lloret for Diabla, and the SAIL poufs, created by Héctor Serrano also for Diabla.

Sublimotion is a gastronomic and performative project, what exactly does it consist of?

 

Sublimotion is an innovative, sensory experience designed to surprise and enhance the pleasure of dining. It uses a radical change in staging through by mechanics and technology, featuring a precise choreography between service, sound, visuals, gastronomy, special effects, and decoration.

The experience shares elements with performance art, with each show being a unique live performance where the audience becomes the protagonist.

 

 

Who are the key professionals involved in creating a Sublimotion experience?

 

The conception of the experience involves a small group trained in design, production, artistic direction, and cuisine.

 

During the live performance, a well-coordinated team of 20 professionals, including chefs, a stage manager, a technical director, production specialists, waitstaff, hostesses, and a master of ceremonies, deliver an exciting, sensory, and precise show.

How is the metaverse integrated into the Sublimotion experience? How much of the show is real physical scenography and spectacle?

 

At Sublimotion, we combine mechanical and technological elements throughout the experience. One highlight is the use of virtual reality glasses, where diners enter a metaverse and, for the first time, taste real gastronomy within a virtual environment. This innovative step showcases potential advances in the entertainment sector.

 

 

Is it an experience that revolves around a narrative?

 

Sublimotion offers a unique adventure through gastronomy, transporting guests through space and time on an emotional journey. There is no seasonal theme; instead, the focus is on providing a consistent and unique emotional experience.

What role do Gandía Blasco Group’s designs play in the experience, and how do they contribute to creating the atmosphere or scenography that was sought out?

 

Gandía Blasco Group and Sublimotion are two Spanish companies that u>share values such as commitment to quality, innovation and constant improvement. Our designs contribute to the experience by creating a lush garden environment where guests can relax and reflect after their meal.

 

The collections from GANDIABLASCO and Diabla provide a comfortable and elegant setting for guests to share their emotions and unwind.

Sublimotion takes place around a table for 12 people, but there is also this outdoor space designed with our collections. How does the design of the outdoor space connect with the Sublimotion experience?

 

Once the show is over, our guests continue the experience on our terrace designed in collaboration with the Gandía Blasco Group. This is the moment to reflect on what has happened, to share and review the experience we have just had, but also to disconnect and continue enjoying the Ibizan night.

Gandía Blasco Group designed a comfortable and avant-garde area for drinks and relaxation, featuring large poufs, armchairs, and Balinese chairs from our GANDIABLASCO and Diabla collections.
