Haneda Airport
Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, is more than just an airport. It is a destination in its own right, with a wide range of dining, entertainment, shopping and other attractions. Among them, the numerous viewing terraces from which to watch the planes take off and land, as well as the views of the bay, both during the day and at night, when everything seems magical thanks to special lighting. This is one of Gandia Blasco Group's contract projects on the airport terraces.
The rooftop of Haneda Terminal 2 is one of these must-see places where, at sunset, infinite points of light guide the steps to the intimate ambiences equipped with outdoor furniture designed by GANDIABLASCO. The NAO-NAO designer garden seesaw, by Yolanda Herraiz, is the contemporary version of the traditional garden swing with three seats, reinterpreted with our brand's fetish materials, aluminium and nautical fabric, and its characteristic colours: white and grey. NAO-NAO simplifies the system and rewrites the nature of this seating typology with a genuine accent in its shape and a unique sensation in its use, unequalled under the starry sky of the Japanese capital. The sober lines make NAO-NAO a natural extension of Haneda's extensive contract facilities.
Next to the designer rockers and projecting light and shadow, we find MERENDERO, an original design by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales. MERENDERO is an outdoor pergola that we manufacture with aluminium profiles and offers a contemporary and cosy space to share memorable moments in a special atmosphere. The roof and walls are made of plastic fabric tarpaulins available in a wide range of textures and colours that allow us to multiply the customisation options.
