Design, nature, and crafts: An unforgettable night at the Valencia Fine Arts Museum
For the third consecutive year, we have partnered with the Fine Arts Museum of Valencia, transforming its non-exhibition spaces with a temporary project that was unveiled during a memorable event on the night of 1st October. This formed part of the activities at Feria Hábitat and València Design Fest.

As with the previous collaborations, we worked on the design of this installation and the Night at the Museum III event alongside lighting specialists LZF Lamps. This year, we were also joined by another Valencian company, Greenarea, experts in creating spaces and vertical gardens with preserved plants.

The aim of our collaboration with the museum is to address a theme, trend, or current idea within the design field, establishing a meaningful connection with art, as well as the museum’s galleries, its history, and architecture.

Design, Nature, and Craftsmanship
This year, we proposed extending the presence of vegetation beyond the museum’s cloister to “colonise” the interior spaces and interact with its works. This resulted in six scenes rooted in principles of biophilic design, which seeks to emulate and incorporate natural elements into architecture and interior spaces.

The scenes recreate lush, organic environments that blur the lines between the museum’s interior and exterior. They are designed with a combination of preserved plants, nature-inspired, handcrafted textiles and furniture from Gandía Blasco Group, and organic lamps made with LZF Lamps’ signature wood veneers.
The scenes include some of our most distinctive, handcrafted pieces of furniture and textiles, such as the Backstitch rugs by Raw-Edges for GAN, the Buit furniture pieces by Mayice, and the R24 tables by Paula Valentini, all from GANDIABLASCO.

We also took this opportunity to exclusively present GAN’s new Botánica rug, marking our first collaboration with designer Bodo Sperlein.

This temporary installation, blending design, nature, and craftsmanship, was launched during the Night at the Museum III exhibitiont, with friends, clients, and media representatives present. The installation will be on display at the Valencia Fine Arts Museum until 1st November 2024.
Our thanks go to the Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia for their support, and to all those who joined us on this memorable night.
