Alberto Martínez · Partner & Creative Director CuldeSac™
As a founding partner of CuldeSac™ and Creative Director of Spaces, Alberto Martínez employs his own working and research method in the field of architecture and design, with the aim of creating memorable projects based on new experiential vectors.
Over the course of his career, his sensitivity and his constant search for the human essence in the creation of new projects have enabled him to attract outstanding professionals from a number of fields to share in his own distinctive vision of design and of concept creation and execution.
Over the last decade, this convergence of people from different disciplines through a new concept of creative space has given rise to various international projects in the areas of product design, retail, showrooms, exhibitions and stands for multinationals such as Tane, Porcelanosa, Valentine, Cosentino, Hermès, Bentley and Aston Martin.
With a degree in Industrial Design, specialising in Product Design at the Royal College of Art in London, Alberto Martínez achieved international acclaim by obtaining awards such as First Prize for Research from the Helen Hamlyn Center for Design in London (2000), the Kokuyo International 1st Prize in Tokyo (2000), the Red Dot Design Award (2007) and the XXI Compasso d’Oro (2008).
His ongoing ties with research and creativity have resulted in international education partnerships, involving teaching in a number of higher design schools in cities like Monterrey, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Dubai, Tokyo, Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
His collaboration will be linked with arts projects in which the methodology will be completely practical and based on exploring new forms and languages, such as the workshops in Domaine de Boisbuchet, open to designers, architects, artists, photographers, university academics and professional exhibition curators.
