Tropical Beach House
We traveled with GANDIABLASCO to a remote island of North Queensland, Australia, where this beachfront single-family home represents the essence of indoor/outdoor architecture. Designed by Renato D'Ettorre Architects, it was conceived to be exposed to the harsh extremes of a tropical climate, which is why it incorporates measures such as glass against wind and rain, and shutters to counteract heat and humidity. Tropical Beach House is one of our contract projects in Australia.
The construction and interior design prioritizes simplicity and authenticity in every detail, such as the use of natural and, where possible, local materials. Local woods and basalt walls have been chosen to integrate the home into the surrounding tropical landscape until they blend in completely as these materials age. In line with this philosophy of environmental harmony in which everything -textures, materials, views...- fits together, the ambiences that we create with GANDIABLASCO’s outdoor furniture collections allow us to make the most of the dining room and living room. The FLAT series, an original design by Mario Ruiz, brings the Mediterranean lifestyle to this enclave of the Antipodes, where the boundaries between indoors and outdoors are blurred according to the need and time.
The FLAT modular design sofa -as comfortable as an indoor lounge sofa thanks to the comfy cushions, mattresses and backrests- is made of welded thermo-lacquered aluminium and polyethylene. Thanks to the properties of the aluminium and the technical fabric for the upholstery, it is the perfect model for the Tropical Beach House. Other pieces in the collection, such as the low table, the outdoor dining table and the designer outdoor chairs we also present thermo-lacquered in white, enhancing their silent shapes and essential, minimal lines.
Also in white monochrome and as a versatile and casual touch, the AIR stool from Diabla adds to the set. An original design by Héctor Serrano, it is made of 100% recyclable polyethylene, a soft material that is easy to maintain and suitable for outdoor use.
