The Standard Bangkok MahaNakhon

The Standard Bangkok Hotel is located in the Mahanakhon Tower, one of the most unique buildings in the Thai skyline. With more than 150 floors, this avant-garde building, designed by German architect Ole Scheeren, dominates the skyline of the city's financial district. Opened in 2016, it has more than 200 flats, four restaurants, a revolving swimming pool and an original bar on what is considered the highest rooftop in the country. It must undoubtedly be one of the most impressive vantage points in the world where you can enjoy a drink and marvellous views.

In collaboration with the team at The Standard hotels, Spanish designer Jaime Hayón has furnished one of the hotel's spacious outdoor terraces using GANDIABLASCO's CAPA outdoor furniture collection. Eschewing the homogeneity of beige and earth tones common in Thai hotels, the Jaime Hayón team has used a dynamic polychromatic palette to create a relaxing atmosphere that invites you to spend a quiet evening watching the sunset.

The CAPA collection, designed exclusively by Søren Rose for GANDIABLASCO, is a good example of the purity of lines that the Nordic design world is so fond of. Through this minimalism, Søren Rose transfers the Danish concept of "hygge" to outdoor furniture, a philosophy of life that invites you to enjoy simple things with your family and loved ones.

The CAPA 2-seater sofa is perfect for creating warm spaces that invite relaxation. Its refined lines make it a sofa that can easily be combined with coffee tables or armchairs from other collections.

This designer sofa has a lightweight structure made from aluminium tubular sections welded to a laser-cut sheet of the same material. Its armrests are made from iroko wood, adding warmth to the whole.
