DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton A Coruña

GANDIABLASCO invites its guests to rediscover winter and spring sensations at its new all seasons terrace of the DoubleTree by Hilton in the center of A Coruña. The outdoor furniture company Gandia Blasco Group have furnished this space, prioritizing the comfort of those who visit the hotel, so that they can enjoy the weather during all four seasons in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

DoubleTree by Hilton A Coruña is located in the building that was once the headquarters of “Red Electrica de Espana” in Galicia. The building itself has been converted into a fine work of art that is headlined by its extraordinary façade, with small black marble details that combine with an extraordinary lighting. Located next to Orzan beach and extremely close to the Museum of Fine Arts and the “Casa Museo de Casares Quiroga” the hotel offers spa facilities, a beauty salon, as well as an all-new culinary menu thanks to the opening of Adrián Felípez’s restaurant, Hünico.

The hotel, rated four stars and with seven floors, opened in September 2020 after a complete restructuring and a state-of-the-art renovation, and having finished its refurbishing in Spring of 2021, it has entered its first winter season with its new all seasons terrace. The design is a large, 150-meter squared terrace lounge, an oasis right in the middle of the city that invites its guests to relax and make the most of their stay, and it is also complemented by an indoor terrace available through reservations that provides the perfect venue for any private celebration. In these spots, the guests are able to eat, enjoy a cocktail or a good coffee in the heart of A Coruña, served by cocktail and barista experts.
The hotel has converted its outdoor zone into an authentic open concept haven that combines the indoors and the outdoors with a heavy focus on its state-of-the-art design, and the quality and durability of the company’s outdoor furniture collection. The rooms have been designed by SOLANAS and TIMELESS, two clear examples of the essential and timeless style of the GANDIABLASCO project.

The sinuous lines of SOLANAS add warmth and sophistication under the porch, next to the cocktail bar and on the rest of the terrace. SOLANAS’ armchairs and low tables - 120x90, 70x40, 40x45 cm- are grouped in an orderly fashion, forming relaxation areas to spend time in complete comfort. These pieces of furniture, designed by Daniel Germani, are made of cement gray aluminium. The coolness and lightness of the aluminum and the grey coloring contrast with the softness and comfort of the bulky removable mats, which are covered by the cream-colored Soft Dolce waterproof fabric. The armrests are made of Dekton© by Consentino, an ultra-resistant material, that is also used in the surface of the SOLANAS tables in the same black tone (Domoos model).

There are chairs from the TIMELESS collection in both the interior as well as on the terrace and these are inspired by Rationalism and created by José A. Gandía- Blasco Canales and Borja García. With the same fine details, colors and textures of the SOLANAS pieces that were chosen, the TIMELESS designs stand out due to their symmetrical balance, pure outlines and neutral colors.

The new DoubleTree indoor-outdoor space by Hilton A Coruña is one of GANDIABLASCO’S most recent contract projects. One hundred per cent custom designed, they are carefully planned responses to the need for development of first-class hotels and residences all around the world.
