Hotel Le Vieux Castillon
A balcony with views of Du Gard, a window on to the history of Le Vieux Castillon, a 4 star hotel in the heart of the sublime medieval town of Castillon-du-Gard, between Nimes and Avignon and near the historic Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard. LE VIEUX CASTILLON is one of the GANDIABLASCO Contract projects in the south of France.
The interior of this boutique hotel has 33 guest rooms designed by Paris based interior architect Natasha Megret, who has tastefully and sensitively combined a natural palette of white, coffee and caramel tones in harmony with the medieval stone left visible in many of the rooms. Her sober approach is complemented with discreet details, such as fresh orchids, glass candlesticks, as well as bolder statement pieces like the Kartell baroque lamps.
The castle interior houses a magical refuge surrounded by medieval walls; this is the hotel’s outdoor area, furnished with GANDIABLASCO outdoor collections. Loungers and outdoor tables create a space for relaxing and sunbathing by the pool, whilst LIPSTICK armchairs and occasional tables designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales for the Diabla brand, provide somewhere to sit or have a coffee while you soak up the idyllic atmosphere. On the other side of the pool, the DAYBED outdoor bed designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales is perfect for lounging in the shade. In the pool, the half-submerged 356 loungers beckon you to sunbathe in the water.
A bucolic retreat surrounded by beautiful gardens, patios and terraces perfumed with the scent of lemon trees and the aroma of olives, figs and cypresses. Beyond the walls, nature reigns supreme among endless vineyards and the giant of Provence, Mont Ventoux. During summer nights, the courtyard at LE VIEUX CASTILLON becomes an outdoor cinema.
