Casa Montelongo

Casa Montelongo is located in the village of La Oliva, surrounded by the Atlantic breeze and the fantastic lunar landscapes of Fuenteventura. Belonging to a family deeply rooted in the history of the island, Casa Montelongo was, for a long time, the quintessential place to be — whether for meetings or parties, friends or intellectuals. It is part of a beautiful chapter in Majorcan history.
Its architect, Néstor Pérez Batista, managed to combine tradition and modernity by merging local materials such as stone, wood, lime and clay in its construction, with the aspects of an avant-garde way of building, taking the utmost care to view light as a transformative element, a link between exterior and interior spaces. The Montelongo House is spacious, bright and fully integrated into the physiognomy and character of the island.

The house is divided into two clearly differentiated areas: the former theatre, whose equipment allows it to act as an independent space, and the former family home. Both converge in an outdoor swimming pool and a spacious solarium furnished with chill beds from GANDIABLASCO’s CHILL outdoor furniture collection.

The CHILL designer outdoor beds by GANDIABLASCO are perfect for creating calm spaces — a sort of seclusion in the open air. Made with a lightweight structure of anodised or thermo-lacquered aluminium profiles, these outdoor beds have reclining backrests and comfortable mattresses upholstered with special long-lasting fabric. It allows for the comfort of an indoor bed to be brought outdoors to enjoy the sun during the day or the cool nights under the moon of Fuerteventura.
