The CORD collection by GANDIABLASCO, designed by the Danish Groundwork Studio, represents a masterful exercise in cultural fusion and the distillation of design essence.
CORD is inspired by the long Scandinavian tradition of using paper cord in furniture production. This Nordic tradition intertwines with the functional elegance of the Mediterranean wicker culture and the international outdoor lifestyle.
The result is a collection of contemporary design furniture that exhibits an aesthetic which is both Mediterranean and Scandinavian, ideal for designing both lounge areas and dining areas, integrating perfectly into indoor and outdoor spaces.

About Groundwork Studio
GROUNDWORK Studio is a Copenhagen-based design office founded by Morten Bo Jensen, former in-house Chief Designer with 16 consecutive years for a leading Danish design brand. GROUNDWORK is deeply passionate about the design of refined products with a strong design DNA and the ability to stand the test of time. Our design-awarded work covers leadership in a wide range of product categories from furniture, lighting and accessories to entire kitchen and bathroom systems - and everything in between.
Our design approach encourages longevity over trends with a tireless emphasis on uncovering a refined detail, material or process that distinguishes the product, elevates the craftsmanship, and anchors it with the brand to which it was born. A solid experience with a wide span of materials and processes combined with collaborations with an array of international partners informs our precise and holistic approach to any project. A thorough contextual understanding of the project ensures a product concept that, beyond its intended visual appearance and aesthetics, seeks to encompass both the commercial and operational needs of our clients. We seek endurance in our designs with virtues of both tangible and intangible character: Great design is durable, highly functional, and offers joyful interaction and use on a daily basis. Equally important is its ability to establish an emotional connection, making it a product you would never want to replace. We start by distilling the essence of a product and merge with a meticulous curation of genuine materials, refined craftsmanship and a tireless attention to even the smallest detail. We emphasise design qualities beyond what meets the eye, with a soft spot for how a product sounds, feels and makes you feel.
