Beauty in the mastery of semi-industrial processes
“DUNNE is inspired by the organic forms of nature, the soft curves of dune sand, the rhythmic patterns created by the waves, and the constantly changing boundary between the sea and the shore. I wanted to capture this sense of movement and softness, translating it into furniture that feels sculptural yet inviting, blending seamlessly with its surroundings.”
Nao Tamura
DUNNE is Nao Tamura‘s first collection for GANDIABLASCO. Its creation is based on the movement of the sea and the sea breeze that shapes the dunes. It perfectly materialises this blend of industrial and manufacturing processes to present a collection comprising a lounge chair, a lounge chair with armrests, a lounge chair with armrests and a side table, a sofa, a sofa with armrests, a sofa with side table, and a coffee table.
The key to its sculptural design and the sense of movement they convey is found in its combination of powder-coated aluminium extruded pieces, assembled and hand-welded to achieve its characteristic curvature. This is a reference to the soft curves and texture of the dunes, constantly changing in relation to the water.
