Nestled within the renowned Milano Design Week, the Appartamento Spagnolo project stands out as one of the exhibition’s most compelling showcases. Every year, Milan—the ultimate capital of interior design—transforms into a trend-setting stage that draws creative professionals from across the globe. Against this backdrop, the exhibition serves as a curated hub connecting the historic roots of design with contemporary architecture, crafting a journey brimming with inspiration.
The garden of this exclusive location is transformed into a serene outdoor oasis courtesy of GANDIABLASCO’s outdoor furniture systems, where each piece demonstrates how understated simplicity can effortlessly define an entire space. The undisputed star of the alfresco living area is Cono, a shelter structure designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales that commands attention with its nomadic silhouette. Harmonising with this centrepiece, the relaxation zone features the Garden Layers Collection—an exquisite series of outdoor mattresses, rugs, and cushions envisioned by designer Patricia Urquiola for GAN. Inspired by Eastern aesthetics, this collection introduces ultimate comfort and an innovative layering system that invites guests to lounge on the lawn. The outdoor ambience is completed by the comfort of the Erno modular collection, a design by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco based on modular blocks inspired by Ernő Rubik, creator of the iconic cube. Alongside these, the exclusive Hos Collection takes centre stage; part of the GANDIABLASCO Edition, this limited-series collection was designed by the renowned architect Kengo Kuma. This internationally award-winning lounger and stool set stands out for its organic pattern and avant-garde structural design.
A defining characteristic of GANDIABLASCO’s collections is their boundless versatility, seamlessly integrating into both architectural outdoor spaces and covered environments. Furthermore, when a project demands more tailored solutions, our Custom division offers a dedicated service, facilitating the creation of bespoke pieces through customisable sizes, finishes, and premium fabrics.
