Gandia Blasco Group · 85th Anniversary at Salone del Mobile

April 29, 2026 | Fairs / Gandia Blasco Group /

Mediterranean roots, from the origin of fibers in the 40s, to craftsmanship and the cult of the Mediterranean sun in the 80s

The space of Gandía Blasco Group at Salone del Mobile 2026 is an architectural veil, designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco together with GANDIABLASCO Studio. This light and ephemeral architectural installation is defined by a succession of translucent natural linen bands suspended from the ceiling, which delimit the spaces as enveloping glazes, many of them reused from the stand built at Maison&Objet Paris 2025. Linen, a fiber with deep cultural and symbolic value that we use to reclaim its usage since the time of the Greeks and Romans, allows us to “see without revealing” the interior, flooding the space with a diffused light that evokes the incandescence of the horizon at sea.

The design of the stand has been conceived from the essentiality of the elements and the reuse of natural materials, prioritizing our commitment to sustainability. The interiors reveal orange linen glazes that evoke the clarity of the dawn on the horizon, creating a visual interplay in the different spaces that enhance the materiality of our collections. This interior landscape articulates our integrative vision under the concept “Outdoors is the new indoors”, celebrating 85 years of history through a symbiosis between artisanal knowledge and contemporary design of semi-industrial manufacture in an environment of purely Mediterranean essence.

Interior spaces under the concept “Outdoors is the new indoors”

At GANDIABLASCO, we present on this stage proposals that connect with our origins through the search for essentiality and organic geometry. We showcase designs signed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, Mayice, Nao Tamura, Sebastian Herkner and Mario Martínez, in addition to the new releases from GANDIABLASCO Studio. These pieces reinforce our idea of the contemporary refuge through semi-industrial processes that blur the borders between the interior and the exterior, providing architectural solutions that invite inhabiting outdoor spaces with the same comfort and sophistication as internal environments.

GAN, our brand of artisanal essence, deploys five new collections that explore contemporary craftsmanship through rugs, tapestries, and the new GAN EDITION line. Among our novelties, the designs of José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, Arnau Reyna, Aline Delaforcade, Hila Havkin and Charlotte Lancelot stand out. The ONDA tapestry line; the PANAL collection, which is inspired by the complex natural engineering of bees to create unique textures; and ASCENSE, a proposal that explores optical illusions inspired by Nepalese landscapes, take on special relevance. A fundamental pillar for us is our social side through the GAN Women Unit, a project with which we promote the labor insertion and empowerment of women artisans in rural areas of India, allowing them to achieve economic autonomy through the development of these design pieces.

DIABLA contributes our most casual and bold vision with the “Funky contract” concept. We exhibit the new design from the renowned Japanese architecture studio The Design Labo, along with designs by Bandada Studio, Made Studio, Alejandra Gandía-Blasco and Yonoh Studio. With these proposals, we maintain our free and colorful spirit, offering versatile pieces that adapt to contract and residential environments with a fresh aesthetic that challenges the conventions of traditional design.

SPECIAL GUESTS | Contemporary craftsmanship and masks of ethnological value

As special guests, we have the presence of artist-artisans Pablo Yubero and Corinne Bally at the stand. Yubero contributes hand-turned pieces where the grains and knots narrate the history of each work in search of its essential soul. For her part, Corinne Bally, through her project Ethic & Tropic, introduces the magic of indigenous women from Central America with their hand-embroidered animal heads; ritual and shamanic objects that we transform into “art brut” pieces, bringing an ancestral sensitivity and a necessary tenderness to our contemporary design.
