EME Dining chair
“Unlike a building, the chair directly confronts the body without intermediaries. It is an object we interact with for long periods of time, so any error becomes immediately evident. The chair requires a perfect synthesis of form and function where nothing can be hidden. It is very complex and very simple.”
Mario Martínez
Designed by Mario Martínez for GANDIABLASCO, the EME dining chair delivers a contemporary and highly sophisticated twist on the traditional chair archetype. Its lightweight, welded frame made of powder-coated aluminum, available in GANDIABLASCO’s complete 15-color palette, guarantees optimum resistance to weathering and oxidation. The focal point is found in its seat, meticulously detailed with a hand-woven 2-2 polyester rope. This exquisite craftsmanship mirrors the tactile comfort and warmth of traditional Mediterranean wicker, offering high flexibility and a welcoming surface that molds to the body without absorbing extreme heat or cold. The backrest, cleanly integrated as part of the core aluminum structure, refines its silhouette of essential, pure lines.
Conceived with a stackable and highly versatile nature, the EME dining chair becomes an ideal choice for both intensive contract environments and luxury residential terraces. Its formal harmony stands out exceptionally well alongside architectural furniture, making it the perfect match when placed around the GANDIABLASCO D130 ISLA high table D130 ISLA dining table. This configuration creates a cohesive, high-end outdoor dining area where the lightweight clarity of the chairs enhances the table’s pure volume. Its sustainable flat-pack design can be easily assembled with just four screws, facilitating smart logistics and allowing the corded seat to be updated or replaced independently over time.
The EME dining chair is an original design by Mario Martínez for GANDIABLASCO.
