Francesco Sillitti

Born in Taranto in 1982, I graduated in Industrial Design at the University of Architecture in Genoa in 2006. That same year, I did an internship in the “INVIDEO” advertising studio.

In 2007 I was awarded an Erasmus scholarship to study at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.

In 2008, still in Valencia, I worked at José Luis Soler’s architecture studio where I carried out design and architecture projects and was in charge of the outdoor furniture line.

As a freelance designer, I have created the corporate image of the Alfredo Majorano Ethnographic Museum in Taranto, as well as a T-shirt line. I have also worked on various commercial activities.

In 2009 I did a Master’s degree in European Design Lab 09 at the IED Institute in Madrid.

From June to September, 2010 I worked at the Summer Workshop at Domain de Boisbuchet, in collaboration with the Vitra Design Museum.

In 2011, I did an internship at Estudio Campana, São Paulo, Brazil.

In 2012 I was the winner of the 2012 Concept Design BRIT Award, organized by SKITCH and CASA CLAUDIA magazine, for my DozeQuinze project.

My academic training and specific experiences have enriched my project management skills in terms of my method of work, use of materials and different forms of expression.
