Emmanuel Gardin

Krizalidstudio is a space of research and design, created by Emmanuel Gardin in 2008, with the leitmotiv of “metamorphosis”. After various collaborations in several fields such as ceramics for “Royal Boch” or “Serax”, or the slow design with “Charles Kaisin”, he also experimented other approaches: the set design for “Chine Collection,” Architecture at office «Zest”, the border between design and art with “Charles Kaisin.”

What motivated the birth of the studio “is being able to devote time to research and design of modular objects for the home in trying to implement simple mechanical methods to distort and change the subject to create new function.”

Be able to change the appearance or shape of an object in order to change its use seems to be the red thread of Emmanuel’s creations. “Through my research, the goal is to reach a clear and simple path. Very attentive to details, textures and materials, I like to experiment and develop production techniques to optimize my products.

Meanwhile Emmanuel continues to enrich his experience in other areas, including interior architecture with “Désiron & Lizen”. Among the objects most emblematic and representative of his work, we found the collection “Recto Verso” or light “Sunrise” and “Kino”, condensed for simplicity and durability.
