GANDIABLASCO celebrates New York’s design week at the heart of SOHO

The “tropical storm” of good vibes invaded the GANDIABLASCO showroom last May 22nd in the New York neighbourhood of SoHo. Pineapples, music, champagne and gourmet sandwiches, all served on the MIX&MATCH trays designed by Flavia del Pra for GAN, the indoor brand of GANDIABLASCO, brought an innovative touch to the event organised to coincide with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). The GANDIABLASCO outdoor furniture collections and the new GARDEN LAYERS collection by Patricia Urquiola for GAN attracted more than 300 professionals from the sector who had the chance to discover the latest designs and at the same time enjoy a laid back festive event sponsored by Mahou San Miguel.

Guests were able to relax and take time out from their busy schedules within a mise-en-scène framed by a photographic mural that recreated a tropical beach, an oasis in the midst of the frenetic Big Apple. And take full advantage of trying out some of the most emblematic GANDIABLASCO terrace furniture pieces including DAYBED, the sofa Hooded JIAN, the BALI parasol, the TIPI wigwam and other pieces from the DOCKS and FLAT collections as well as the TEXTILE armchair.

Visitors to the showroom were also invited to get ‘horizontal’ on the carpets, mattresses, roll pillows and cushions of the GARDEN LAYERS collection, the first outdoor collection designed by Patricia Urquiola for GAN that was recognised with a NYCxDesign Award under the Outdoor category after being presented in New York after its release at the Salone del Mobile in Milan during the month of April. Inspired by the Orient, the collection is conceived for the enjoyment of the great outdoors.

The showroom also featured a collaboration with VIBIA, for its lighting, the spectacular Wireflow lamp designed by Arik Levy was used to light the bar-counter with its spare minimalism.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made the night so memorable.
