One more year for cinema at New York’s ADFF Short Films Walk.
Last October 11th the GANDIABLASCO showroom at 52 Greene St in Lower Manhattan, New York, hosted the screening of three films as part of the Architecture & Design Film Festival, the biggest cinema event of its kind in the USA with events taking place in Chicago and Los Angeles as well as New York.
A cinema meeting in the Soho Design District of New York, where the showrooms of the district main brands, Hästens, Foscarini, Moroso, Sony, Boffi, Flos, Artemide, USM and GANDIABLASCO, together with institutes like The American Institute of Architects, AIA New York Chapter, The American Society of Interior Designers, The American Institute of Architect’s annual I Look Up Film Challenge, Design Trust,and specialized media, Phaidon, Dezeen, Metrópolis, New York magazine, Architectural Record, Scenic y Salone del Mobile Milano between them, were turned into movie theaters with popcorn aroma for one day.
During the journey, we invited the GANDIABLASCO’s to the second floor of our showroom turned into a cinema room, where they had the chance to see the three short films reclined in the modular poufs of BANDAS and MANGAS SPACE collections designs of Patricia Urquiola and GARDEN LAYERS, the first outdoor collection of the GAN´s brand, while enjoying wine and popcorn.
At the end of the projections, we closed the evening in the main floor of our showroom between pleasant conversations and funny anecdotes, comfortably seated in the outdoor furniture collections with architectural design, BLAU design of Fran Silvestre Architects and DNA of Jose A.Gandia-Blasco.
ADFF Short Films Walk of New York takes de creative spirit of the different professionals and offers a lecture of design and architecture from an educational but entertaining viewpoint. An exclusive chance to appreciate the close relationship between both disciplines, intrinsic values to our designs present in the different brands; GANDIABLASCO, GAN and DIABLA.
